Occupational Therapist – Acute Care

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 4x10 or 5x8 | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy services within an acute hospital setting, supporting patient evaluation, treatment planning, and goal-directed intervention
Deliver care across scheduled day shifts, with expected coverage emphasis on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Participate in weekend coverage, with an expected commitment of 2 weekend days per month
Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic electronic health record system
Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

Active Alaska Occupational Therapist License required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
NBCOT Certification required
BLS Certification required
Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
Candidates whose permanent address is within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
All time-off requests must be submitted upfront at the time of candidate submittal; post-offer requests may not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience in an acute care or hospital-based setting
Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma facility
